The trendy J-pop group consists of KOM_I, Kenmochi Hidefumi and Dir.F, who are longtime friends and collaborators. Their bold, electric hits playfully push the boundaries of bubblegum pop and are dangerously danceable. From their first club gig together in Tokyo to landing slots at festivals overseas – such as Tyler, the Creator’s Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival in Los Angeles last year – Wednesday Campanella is well on the way to becoming an international sensation. Their China tour includes stops in Beijing, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Shanghai.

Oct 19-21: Marc Streber at TRB Forbidden City

One star Michelin Chef Marc Strebel and his partner, Restaurant Manager Caroline Arlettaz of La Maison du Village bring modern Swiss-French cuisine to TRB Forbidden City in this three day kitchen takeover. As a self-proclaimed "curious perfectionist," Chef Strebel's culinary philosophy is to create a simple and relaxed atmosphere so that guests can enjoy a menu that respects nature and highlights the fundamental ingredients. His goal is simple: serve elegant bites of perfection.

As part of the second Lao She International Theater Festival, the Tianqiao Performing Arts Center hosts 'Doctor Zhivago,' a play adapted from Boris Pasternak's novel of the same name, set in Russia during the first half of the 20th century.

Oct 21: The Fratellis

Scottish rockers The Fratellis are bringing the early 2000s back. The dynamic threepiece is touring in support of their fifth album In Your Own Sweet Time featuring the cheerful single ‘Starcrossed Lovers,’ though expect to hear all your favorite chantworthy indie bangers like ‘Chelsea Dagger’ and ‘Henrietta.’

Sean Patton is a 'been there, done that' comedian who has toured the world and appeared in The Late Night Show, Inside Amy Schumer, and TruTv's Comedy Knockout (2016, 2017), among other things. The comedic power house, who has been described by the New York Times as a "rare comic who goes over as well in a comedy club as in a bar basement." will be meeting with the Beijing crowds in the classy interiors of The Bookworm instead, and laughs are guaranteed.
